Day 1: Espana — Dar

Pick clients from Julias Kambarage Nyerere International Airport and transfer to your hotel for bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Dar —Selous

Pick clients from the hotel in Dar and drive to Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch, the journey will take about 6hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. Arrive Selous in the afternoon on time for the boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Meals and overnight will be at Lodge/Camp

Day 3: Selous

After breakfast, walking safaris, the most exciting experience, unique in Tanzania, accompanied by rangers armed. Back to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon go for a game drive in the biggest and more fascinating of Africa. Meals and overnight will be at Lodge/Camp.

Day 4: Selous

After breakfast, full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve which is rich of wildlife: Buffaloes, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, hippos and crocodiles. Meals and overnight will be at the Lodge/Camp.

Day 5: Selous —-Mikumi

Early morning after breakfast, game drive en route to Mikumi National Park through the majestic Uluguru Mountains. Dinner and overnight will be at camp/hotel.

Day 6: Mikumi —Udzungwa

Morning after breakfast, full day game viewing in the park. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the Park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant.  In the afternoon drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for dinner and overnight at the camp/hotel.

Day 7: Udzungwa —- Kilombero Valley

After breakfast, start trekking leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. From here you will have a view of Kilombero Valley 180m. Back to the Camp/Lodge for lunch. Late in the afternoon drive to a remote fishing village where you will spend 2 nights camping. Elephants often walk right through the village, especially at night!

Day 8: Kilombero Valley

In the mornings the fishermen bring in their catch, and the banks of the river in front of the village come alive with activity as the fish are sorted. You will have the chance to observe and even choose your own fish for lunch! There will be a village tour, and in the afternoon a dug-out canoe safari on the great Kilombero River.

Day 9: Itete Mission

The transfer to Itete Mission is a scenic one through rolling countryside doted with small villages and ‘Shamba’ (farms). After settling in and lunch you will go on a walking tour of the village, accompanied by the local priest and maybe a traditional healer.

Day 10: Maasai Boma

After breakfast transfer to a Maasai Boma, out on the floodplain. A small community lives here and you will have the opportunity to meet them. After a picnic lunch there will be a short game drive further into the floodplain where you will be camping in a remote glade of trees. A campfire will be maintained all night – to keep the wildlife at bay!

Day 11: Ifakara –Dar

Morning after breakfast, transfer back to Dar es salaam for overnight at your hotel.
