Day by Day Itinerary 14-Day Grand Tanzania Safari Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the day relaxing after your journey, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Begin your safari with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy game drives spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of birdlife. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp within or near the park.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire
Dedicate the day to exploring Tarangire’s diverse landscapes and rich wildlife. Watch elephants cooling off at the Tarangire River and predators stalking their prey. Return to your lodge for an evening under the African sky.
Day 4: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is known for its flamingo-filled soda lake, lush forests, and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through its varied habitats before retiring to a nearby lodge for the night.
Day 5: Lake Manyara to Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe and Datoga Tribes)
Travel to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Spend the day learning about these unique cultures, including the hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Hadzabe and the metalworking skills of the Datoga. Overnight near the lake.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi to Central Serengeti
Depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge or camp in Central Serengeti, where wildlife abounds and the landscapes stretch endlessly.
Day 7: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti (Central Serengeti)
Spend the day exploring Central Serengeti, home to the Seronera Valley and its abundant predators. Witness dramatic wildlife interactions and take in the vast beauty of the plains.
Day 8: Serengeti (Northern or Southern Serengeti)
Follow the seasonal movement of the Great Migration. Depending on the time of year, visit the Northern Serengeti for Mara River crossings or the Southern Serengeti for calving season. Capture the essence of this incredible natural phenomenon.
Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site with fossils and artifacts, then continue to your lodge on the crater rim.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with wildlife. Spot the Big Five and other animals in this incredible ecosystem. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the crater and return to your lodge.
Day 11: Ngorongoro to Lake Natron
Journey to Lake Natron, a remote and otherworldly destination. The lake, known for its vibrant red and pink hues, is a breeding ground for flamingos. Arrive at your lodge and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Rift Valley.
Day 12: Lake Natron Exploration and Waterfalls Visit
Spend the day exploring Lake Natron’s unique environment. Take a guided hike to a nearby waterfall and learn about the local Maasai culture. Marvel at the flamingos and enjoy the serene landscapes.
Day 13: Lake Natron to Arusha
Travel back to Arusha, enjoying the scenic drive through Tanzania’s diverse landscapes. Spend your final evening reflecting on your incredible journey and relaxing at your hotel.
Day 14: Departure from Arusha
Depending on your flight schedule, spend the morning at leisure or explore Arusha. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your Framat Adventure, a journey filled with unforgettable experiences and breathtaking moments.
