5-Day Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Discovery

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, meet your guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Relax and unwind after your journey. If time allows, explore the town or enjoy the serene surroundings of your accommodation. Prepare for the adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a full day of game drives, with opportunities to spot predators and their prey in action. In the evening, settle into your lodge or tented camp and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the African bush.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush forests, soda lake teeming with flamingos, and unique tree-climbing lions. Spend the day exploring the park’s rich biodiversity, which includes hippos, baboons, and a variety of bird species. In the afternoon, visit the nearby villages for a glimpse into the local culture before heading to your accommodation for the night.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping en route at a local Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life. Arrive at the crater rim and enjoy breathtaking views of this natural amphitheater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the evening at your lodge, soaking in the serene beauty of the surroundings and preparing for the next day’s exploration.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration and Departure

Start the day with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife paradise and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five. The crater floor is a mosaic of habitats, home to lions, rhinos, elephants, hyenas, and an array of other species. After an incredible game drive, ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
