BAOBABS, ELEPHANTS AND OPEN COUNTRY
A Distinctive Northern Safari
Tarangire National Park is one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive safari destinations, known for its ancient baobab trees, sweeping savannah landscapes and large concentrations of wildlife. The Tarangire River is the park’s main source of water and attracts elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffaloes and many other animals, especially during the dry season.
The park is particularly famous for its impressive elephant herds and peaceful safari atmosphere. Visitors can also encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs and a remarkable variety of birdlife. With fewer crowds than some of Tanzania’s better-known parks, Tarangire offers an excellent combination of wildlife, scenery and a more relaxed safari experience.
