FRAMAT ADVENTURE
Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Framat Adventure. These Terms & Conditions apply to all safari, trekking, beach holiday, accommodation, transfer and related travel services booked with Framat Adventure.
By making a booking, paying a deposit or confirming a travel arrangement with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Last Updated: August 2026
01 — Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once Framat Adventure has received the required deposit or full payment and issued a written booking confirmation.
Before confirming your booking, please ensure that all traveler names, travel dates, accommodation preferences, passport details where required, and other information provided to us are accurate.
Any changes requested after confirmation may be subject to availability and additional costs.
02 — Pricing
All prices are based on the itinerary, number of travelers, accommodation category, transportation arrangements and services stated in your quotation or booking confirmation.
Unless otherwise indicated, prices may include accommodation, specified meals, transportation, park or conservation fees, guide services and activities specifically listed in the itinerary.
Services not expressly listed as included should be considered excluded.
Prices may change before confirmation due to changes in government taxes, park fees, conservation fees, accommodation rates, exchange rates or other supplier charges beyond our control.
Once a booking has been confirmed, any unavoidable statutory or government-imposed increases may be communicated to the traveler where applicable.
03 — Deposit & Payment
A deposit may be required to secure your booking. The required deposit amount and payment schedule will be stated in your quotation, invoice or booking confirmation.
The outstanding balance must be paid by the deadline stated on your invoice or booking agreement.
Bookings made close to the departure date may require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Failure to complete payment by the required deadline may result in cancellation of the booking and application of the relevant cancellation terms.
All bank charges, transfer fees and other payment processing fees are the responsibility of the traveler unless otherwise agreed in writing.
04 — Bank Transfer Payments
When paying by bank transfer, travelers must use the bank details supplied directly by Framat Adventure.
The booking reference, invoice number or traveler name should be included as the payment reference wherever possible.
A payment will only be considered received once the funds have cleared into the designated account.
Travelers are encouraged to send proof of payment after completing a bank transfer.
Framat Adventure will never request payment to a different bank account without issuing formal written confirmation. If you receive suspicious payment instructions, please contact us directly before transferring funds.
05 — Cancellation by the Traveler
All cancellation requests must be submitted to Framat Adventure in writing.
Cancellation charges may apply depending on:
- the date of cancellation;
- accommodation and supplier policies;
- park and conservation fees already paid;
- domestic flights or transportation already booked;
- permits already purchased; and
- other non-refundable commitments made on behalf of the traveler.
The specific cancellation schedule applicable to your trip should be stated in your booking confirmation or invoice.
Where a supplier has stricter cancellation conditions, those conditions may also apply.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage.
06 — Changes Requested by the Traveler
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes requested after confirmation, including changes to travel dates, accommodation, routes or activities.
Changes remain subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
Where services have already been confirmed with third-party suppliers, amendment or cancellation fees charged by those suppliers will be passed on where applicable.
07 — Cancellation or Changes by Framat Adventure
Framat Adventure reserves the right to make reasonable changes to an itinerary where circumstances require it.
Changes may be necessary due to:
- weather conditions;
- road conditions;
- wildlife movement;
- park regulations;
- government restrictions;
- accommodation availability;
- safety considerations;
- flight schedule changes; or
- circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will provide an alternative service of a similar standard.
If a major service becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative.
08 — Force Majeure
Framat Adventure will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These may include, but are not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- extreme weather;
- epidemics or pandemics;
- war or civil unrest;
- terrorism;
- government actions;
- border closures;
- strikes;
- transport disruption;
- fire;
- flooding;
- changes in national park regulations; or
- other extraordinary events.
Where such circumstances occur, we will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers and rearrange services where practical, although additional costs may be payable by the traveler.
09 — Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers.
Your policy should ideally cover:
- medical treatment;
- emergency evacuation;
- trip cancellation;
- trip interruption;
- delayed or lost baggage;
- personal belongings;
- flight disruption; and
- activities included in your itinerary.
For Mount Kilimanjaro trekking and other adventure activities, travelers should ensure their policy specifically covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation at the elevations included in their itinerary.
Travelers are responsible for verifying the suitability and coverage of their insurance policy.
10 — Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports, visas, travel documents and any other documents required for entry into Tanzania or other countries included in their journey.
Tanzania Immigration currently advises travelers to ensure passports have at least six months’ validity and to comply with applicable visa and entry requirements. Immigration requirements may change, so travelers should verify current requirements with the relevant authorities before departure.
A visa or travel authorization does not by itself guarantee admission, as final entry clearance remains subject to immigration authorities at the point of entry.
11 — Health & Medical Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to participate in their chosen safari, trek or activity.
You should consult a qualified medical professional regarding vaccinations, medication, altitude-related concerns and other health considerations before traveling.
Travelers must inform Framat Adventure of any medical condition, allergy, disability, dietary requirement or other circumstance that may reasonably affect participation in the itinerary.
Such information enables us to make reasonable preparations but does not replace professional medical advice.
12 — Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Mount Kilimanjaro trekking involves strenuous physical activity and exposure to high altitude, changing weather conditions and potentially difficult terrain.
Reaching the summit cannot be guaranteed.
The decision to continue or descend may be made by the lead mountain guide where they reasonably believe that a traveler’s health or safety is at risk.
Travelers agree to follow the instructions of Framat Adventure guides regarding safety, altitude management and emergency procedures.
Additional costs arising from early descent, medical evacuation, accommodation, transport or itinerary changes caused by illness or inability to continue may be the responsibility of the traveler or their insurer.
13 — Wildlife Safaris
Wildlife exists in natural environments and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Animal movements, migration patterns and predator sightings depend on natural factors such as rainfall, grazing conditions, seasons and wildlife behavior.
Our guides will use their professional experience and local knowledge to provide the best possible wildlife viewing opportunities, but no specific animal or wildlife event can be guaranteed.
14 — Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided according to the confirmed itinerary.
Where a confirmed lodge, hotel or camp becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Framat Adventure may arrange a suitable alternative of a comparable standard where reasonably possible.
Room configuration, views, bedding arrangements and specific room requests are subject to accommodation-provider availability.
15 — Transportation
Safari transportation will be provided according to the confirmed itinerary.
Travel times are estimates and can be affected by road conditions, weather, traffic, wildlife movements or other local circumstances.
Framat Adventure is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
16 — Domestic & International Flights
International flights are excluded unless expressly stated as included.
Where Framat Adventure arranges domestic or regional flights, those services are subject to the airline’s own terms and conditions.
Airlines may change departure times, routes, baggage allowances and schedules without prior notice.
Framat Adventure will provide reasonable assistance where flight changes affect an itinerary but cannot accept responsibility for airline operational decisions.
17 — Baggage
Travelers are responsible for their personal luggage and belongings.
Domestic flights and safari vehicles may have baggage limitations, particularly when light aircraft are used.
Travelers should follow the baggage allowance communicated before departure.
Framat Adventure is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless directly caused by proven negligence on our part.
18 — Traveler Conduct
Travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward:
- local communities;
- fellow travelers;
- guides and staff;
- wildlife;
- accommodation employees;
- cultural sites; and
- the natural environment.
Travelers must comply with instructions relating to safety, national parks, conservation areas and wildlife.
Framat Adventure reserves the right to terminate a traveler’s participation where their conduct creates a serious safety risk, causes significant disruption or involves unlawful behavior.
In such circumstances, refunds may not be available.
19 — Responsible Travel
Framat Adventure is committed to responsible tourism and encourages travelers to respect Tanzania’s wildlife, environment, culture and communities.
Travelers should not:
- disturb or feed wildlife;
- remove natural objects from protected areas;
- litter;
- damage cultural or environmental sites; or
- engage in activities that exploit local communities or wildlife.
Our goal is to ensure that tourism contributes positively to conservation and local livelihoods.
20 — Photography & Cultural Respect
Travelers should always request permission before photographing local people where appropriate.
Photography may be restricted at certain government, military, border or culturally sensitive locations.
Travelers are responsible for respecting local instructions and applicable restrictions.
21 — Activities & Personal Risk
Safari travel, trekking, hiking, boating, snorkeling and other adventure activities involve inherent risks.
By participating, travelers acknowledge that certain risks cannot be completely eliminated despite reasonable safety precautions.
Travelers are expected to follow guide instructions and exercise reasonable personal judgment during activities.
22 — Third-Party Suppliers
Some services are provided by independent third-party suppliers such as:
- hotels and lodges;
- airlines;
- transport companies;
- activity operators;
- park authorities; and
- other service providers.
Although Framat Adventure carefully selects its suppliers, these third parties may operate under their own terms, conditions and policies.
Framat Adventure will provide reasonable assistance in resolving service issues but cannot control every act or omission of independent suppliers.
23 — Complaints During Travel
If you experience a problem during your trip, please inform your guide or Framat Adventure representative as soon as possible.
This allows us an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue while you are still traveling.
If the matter cannot be resolved during the journey, please submit a written complaint with relevant details after your trip within a reasonable period.
24 — Website Information
Framat Adventure makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date.
However, photographs, wildlife descriptions, accommodation images, travel times and itinerary descriptions are provided for general guidance and may change.
Website content should not override your final quotation, invoice or confirmed itinerary.
Where there is a conflict, the written booking confirmation and agreed itinerary will take precedence.
25 — Promotions & Special Offers
Promotional prices and special offers may be subject to:
- limited availability;
- specific booking dates;
- travel-date restrictions;
- minimum group sizes; or
- separate cancellation conditions.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined.
26 — Children & Family Travel
Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising minors throughout the journey.
Certain activities, accommodation properties or trekking routes may have age restrictions.
Any child pricing or age-related eligibility will be stated in the applicable quotation or itinerary.
27 — Privacy & Personal Information
Personal information supplied during an enquiry or booking will be used as reasonably necessary to arrange and administer your travel services.
This may require sharing relevant information with accommodation providers, transport operators, park authorities, airlines and other suppliers involved in delivering your itinerary.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is handled.
28 — Liability
Framat Adventure will exercise reasonable care in arranging and providing services under its direct control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Framat Adventure will not be liable for losses arising solely from:
- events outside our reasonable control;
- the independent acts or omissions of third-party suppliers;
- a traveler’s failure to comply with immigration or health requirements;
- personal negligence;
- failure to follow guide or safety instructions; or
- risks inherent in wildlife and adventure travel.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
29 — Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are intended to be governed by the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any dispute should first be addressed through good-faith communication between the traveler and Framat Adventure.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be referred to an appropriate court or dispute-resolution process in Tanzania, subject to applicable law.
30 — Changes to These Terms
Framat Adventure may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operational requirements or applicable regulations.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to a confirmed booking will generally be those communicated or available at the time the booking was confirmed, except where changes are required by law or government regulation.
